Empowering Community for Energy Sustainability

Implementation of the Petrochina’s CSR Program begins with planning that is preceded by an assessment of the potential of the local resources of the operating area, an assessment of the needs for local capacity building, an assessment of the need for livelihood access to achieve community welfare.

Furthermore, Empowerment implementation program is driven from the 9 strengthening of local resources so that the benefit program can be received directly by residents around the operational area. Then, empowerment efforts are also supported in order to realize the improvement of local government services for the citizens of their communities. empowerment program was also increased so that the program synergy was established with the Indonesian government. One form of this synergy is the Synergy Program with the Empowerment of Indigenous Community Program (PKAT) of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs. In addition, the synergy program with the National Disaster Management Agency has brought Petrochina to assist in disaster management in various regions of Indonesia.

We are very proud and grateful that the Petrochina’s CSR Program has now been successful in getting awards including the Indonesia SDG’s Award (ISDA) in 2019. The Petrochina’s CSR Synergy Program for Suku Anak Dalam / SAD in Jambi has also won an award as a National Model (showcase) of Indigenous Community Empowerment Program (PKAT)- Ministry of Social Affairs Republic of Indonesia in 2019.
